Membership

Our members are not all mothers, or even all women. They are single, married, parents, grandparents, or young adults just beginning to express their social conscience. Mothers’ Union provides, for all four million members, a network through which they can serve Christ in their own community – through prayer, financial support and actively working at the grassroots level in programmes that meet local needs. We have  three different types of membership

Branch members – these are members who are attached to a branch – they can be Individual members or IMPC members

Diocesan members are Individual members who choose not to be attached to a branch and our Diocesan members coordinator keeps  them in touch with Mothers’ Union activities. Diocesan members are invited to join branches nearby, when they can, or diocesan activities.

IMPC members are IMPC members because they can no longer get to branch meetings maybe because of timing or perhaps they are less mobile or their branch has closed You don’t have to be ‘old’ to be an IMPC member!

For a fuller picture of what this means within the Sheffield Diocese have a look through the pages within this section.
